BURY’S best brains were put to the test in the Bury College Maths Challenge 2017.
Year 10 pupils from 21 nearby schools attended with Bury Grammar School Boys taking the top spot after excelling in all rounds of the competition.
Essa Academy came second and Parrenthorn High School third.
While pupils competed, teachers attended a lecture by The University of Manchester on how to explain mathematical problems to students.
