Alex Nunns, aged 17, has received a conditional offer to study geography from the University of Oxford
A BUDDING conservationist is delighted to have received a university offer from Oxford to study geography.
Alex Nunns, a Bury College student is studying for her geography, environmental studies and biology A-Levels and has received a conditional offer from the prestigious Russell Group university.
Alex, aged 17, said: "I was so surprised when I received my offer letter through the post!
"I had always aspired to progress onto university but it was my Bury College mentor who advised me about the different opportunities at the University of Oxford and encouraged me to apply."
As well as submitting a personal statement, Alex had to undertake a series of interviews assessing her skills.
