A GOLF club will host its first beer festival this weekend.

has organised the event in partnership with event specialists Tap and Pin.

The festival will run from Friday to Sunday at the Chorley Old Road club and will feature a huge range of beers from some of the region’s best breweries – including five from Bolton.

Nick Taylor, from Tap and Pin, said: “We’re a Bolton based company and so to be able to be a part of such a great event so close to home makes it really special to us. And with so many local business involved it really has a community feel to it.”

Sean Owens, of Old Links, added: “We are the oldest golf club in Bolton, having just celebrated our 125th birthday last year, and we really wanted to open our doors and welcome in local people to see the club. And because it’s Bolton the best way to do that was a traditional beer festival.”

Tickets are £4, with a limited number available on the door.
