COMEDIAN Peter Kay is holding a special live question and answer session in aid of a woman seeking treatment for cancer.

The Bolton celebrity is putting on the event to raise money for mother of three Polly Haydock from Westhoughton, who was diagnosed with cancer at the end of 2015.

Ms Haydock was told in July that her cancer had reached stage four so she set about raising more than £400,000 to receive expert treatment in Germany.

The treatment, which is not available in the UK, could help to prolong her life and help cure the disease.

Ms Haydock and her family have been raising money for the specialist treatment on a Go Fund Me page.

Peter Kay’s Q&A will be held at the Blackpool Opera House on Sunday, June 4.

The audience would discover insights into a number of Peter Kay’s TV shows including Car Share and Phoenix Nights.

He will also show off some exclusive clips and outtakes from the acclaimed programmes as well as talk about his surprising success in the music world and as an author.

All profits from the event will go towards the Polly Haydock appeal, which is called Polly Haydock’s My Children Need Their Mummy Cancer Treatment Fund.

Tickets for the show will cost £35 and are set to go on sale on Ticketmaster and Seetickets on Saturday.
