Bolton Council will be holding a vigil in support of all those affected by yesterday’s attack in Manchester.

The vigil will be on Bolton Town Hall steps at 6pm tonight and will be led by Canon Matt Thompson on behalf of Bolton Council and the Bolton Faith Leader’s Forum.

There will be a one minute silence and prayers for all those affected by the attack, especially those who have lost loved ones.

The vigil will be linked to and held at the same time as the vigil in the centre of Manchester, to show solidarity across Greater Manchester.

What is your response?Reflections ....for those who danced their last dance last night ............... You know those days of cloud and rain, when all you saw and felt was pain, The dead certs turned to wasted bets, the years behind you such a mess? And brighter times when you won and shone, the brightest star, eclipsed by none? The dreams fulfilled and still to bloom, the dreams that crashed and burned to doom? The fuller hips and greying hair, the lines you so wish were not there? Embrace them all, they are your story, not always wrapped in a blaze of glory. But these are your years, good or bad, these are your times, happy or sad. You made it through, you lived to tell, not silenced by an act of Hell. For those who are now frozen in time, stilled in an eternal mime, They cannot follow where you led, nor choose which path they wish to tread. Remember them in your future days, and pray such evil never comes your way. x.
