LADIES who lunch raised almost £13,000 for Bolton Hospice.

More than 250 woman put on the style for an annual fundraising luncheon at Rivington Hall Barn.

They also enjoyed a spot of shopping from one of the many stalls as well as three course lunch and fashion show, hosted by Buttons Boutique

Music by saxophonist was enjoyed at the drinks reception.

The money, £12, 798 raised is the biggest total to date.

Sandra Wright, Bolton Hospice Volunteer, said: "What a fantastic day it was for the hospice.

" The weather was on our side and a big thank you to all the ladies for their generosity on the day for the hospice.

"Being a hospice volunteer myself, I see first-hand where the money goes and it’s such a worthy cause."

Grace Woods, Events Co-ordinator at Bolton Hospice added: "We had such a brilliant day and I just want to say a huge thank you to our lovely ladies for attending and making the day such a huge success. "Our ladies raised a phenomenal amount for the hospice – the equivalent of nearly 800 hours of specialist nursing care for our patients.

"I’d also like to thank our sponsors of the day, The Studholmes, Russell & Russell, Barclays Bank, Shelia Tonge, Blooms of Bolton & to all the amazing local companies and supporters who donated wonderful raffle prizes including the top prize city break holiday donated by Sheila Tonge."
