BABIES swapped their bonnets for berets to mark national Armed Forces Week.
Youngsters and their parents celebrated the week at a sensory baby class in Westhoughton on Tuesday.
Vicky Maher from Kidsology, hosted the fundraiser in her class at Washacre Primary School.
The event was part of a countrywide programme of events to celebrate and recognise HM Armed Forces — past, present and future.
Parents were encouraged to dress up their babies in army hats to raise cash for Help For Heroes.
Ms Maher said: “Soldier marching, bubble blowing and parachute waving was the order of the day.
“Parents were encouraged to embrace multisensory activities including exploring and crawling through tents and tunnels. It was a great class and we raised a fair amount for the charity.”
So far £400 has been raised for Help for Heroes through raffles, cake sales and sponsorship money.
