A BOLTON car retailer is driving its business forward with another award.

Crompton Way Motors won the Digital Retailer of the Year (Independent) accolade at the prestigious 2017 Auto Trader Click ceremony.

Collecting the award, directors Paul and Lorraine Richards said they were delighted with their team for working so hard.

Mr Richards said: “We are immensely proud of all the team at CWM upon winning such an industry recognised award which is all the more relevant to us as customer service really is the heart of our business.

“As we move forward into our tenth year of business such a huge achievement really will stand us in great stead to continue to deliver a memorable customer experience when buying a used car.”

Now in its tenth year, the awards celebrate the UK’s leading digital automotive retailers – those innovative brands that are pushing the standard in digital excellence.

The company was ‘given the award for creating a customer centric business, driven by individuals committed to providing the best online and offline experience possible.’

Taking place at the iconic Banking Hall in the city of London, a total of 13 trophies were awarded representing the very best from the independent, franchise and supermarket retail sectors.

The award-winning BBC Breakfast presenter and reporter, Steph McGovern, also joined guests to help celebrate and present trophies to each of the deserving winners.

The winners from this year’s awards were selected by a combination of consumer research, analysis of millions of data points, and an independent judging panel made up of some of the UK’s leading digital experts from Google, Vodafone, LinkedIn, ZPG and Havas Media Group.

Auto Trader Sales Director, Le Etta Pearce, said the night was a huge success – and praised all the companies who won awards.

She said: “The Auto Trader Click Award winners should feel immensely proud.

“Not only has this tenth year seen a record number of entries, but the bar has once again been raised on quality.

“Today’s car buyers are savvier than ever before, and they’re looking for exceptional customer experiences online that match the in-store experience.

“By adopting best digital practice, and representing the very best of the automotive retail sector, this year’s winners aren’t simply meeting their customers’ expectations, they’re exceeding them.”

Bolton born Auto Trader Brand Director, Marc Thornborough, added that he was pleased for Crompton Way Motors and wished them every success for the future.

He said: “I’m so pleased for Paul and Lorraine, and I am obviously chuffed that a Bolton business has won the award but its testament to the hard work and attention to great customer service delivered by Crompton Way Motors.

“To see off competition form thousands of other car retailers from all over the UK is a massive achievement”
