THIS interesting old photograph shows a building many of our readers will recognise.
Here we see the building at the back is the Jolly Crofters pub in Chorley Old Road, Horwich at the junction with Chapel Lane.
But it is the partly demolished row at the front which is particularly interesting.
The cottages were built at the end of the 18th century and were known as Tup Row.
Later, at the end of the row, the Crofters Arms appeared with four rooms up and four down and a stable.
