THREE 16-year-old boys have been arrested after a woman was car-jacked in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to Turton Road, Bradshaw, at around 5.15am today to reports that a woman had been told to get out her car.

The offenders then made off in the Nissan Micra.

The incident took place at the traffic lights at the bottom of the road at the junction with Bradshaw Road.

A manhunt was launched in the area by police and the police helicopter assisted in the search for those responsible.

Three 16-year-old boys were found in the area and arrested by police.

However, enquiries are ongoing to locate a fourth person who is believed to have been involved in the incident.

The car has now been recovered and police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
