MANCHESTER United are one of the Premier League clubs still keeping tabs on Wanderers keeper Jake Turner.

Reports at the weekend claim Jose Mourinho has identified the 18-year-old as a future number one as could be ready to make a bid for his services.

United have watched Turner’s rise through the ranks for more than 12 months now, alongside Everton, but have not yet made their move.

If United were to make a concrete bid the Whites would find it difficult to stand in the England youth international’s way but the club is in a strong position to charge a top price.

Wanderers gave the Cheshire-based youngster his first professional contract in July and is currently tied to the Macron until 2019.

United are by no means alone in their pursuit of Turner and a raft of top flight scouts have monitored his progress from Under-16s level in the Eddie Davies Academy.
