FIREFIGHTERS rescued a person who was trapped in a car after a crash on the Blackrod bypass.
At around 8.30am on Sunday, two fire engines from Horwich and two rescue appliances from Leigh were called to the collision.
The person was rescued using hydraulic and battery operated equipment, before being taken to hospital.
