A CAR enthusiast went back to the place he got married to share his passion for vehicles with the rest of Bolton.

Terry Rule held a Cars and Coffee event to not only share his love of cars but raise money for charity.

The event was held at the Last Drop Village Hotel in Bromley Cross, where Mr Rule married wife Lori in September, 2015, and featured around 40 cars dating back to the 1930s up to the most modern, ranging from Fords, Lotuses, Morris Minors and even a drag car.

It is the first year the 29-year-old professional car detailer, from Ainsworth, has held the event. He said: “I just wanted to share my love of cars.

"I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to look at the amazing cars I get to see daily.”

The sun came out for the event and around 150 people turned out to see the vehicles.

Mr Rule raised just under £500 from the event and the proceeds go to People's Dispensary for Sick Animals, Speed of Sight and Bolton Hospice.

Mr Rule is keen to make it an annual event and to expand the display next year.
