TRIBUTES have been paid to a devoted father who died in a motorbike crash.

Ryan Davies was killed in a collision with two parked cars in Bolton Road, Kearsley on Sunday night.

The 30-year-old, from Kearsley, was riding his green Suzuki motorbike when he was involved in a collision with a red Renault Clio and a grey BMW 320i.

Police and ambulance attended and Mr Davies was taken to hospital where he later died.

In a statement, his family said: "Ryan was a devoted father to his two boys, a loving husband, son and brother. He was loved by many.

“Ryan enjoyed the freedom of his motorbike and has been taken far too soon.

“He will be sadly missed by all of his family and all that knew him.”

Friends and relatives took to social media in the aftermath of the crash to pay tribute to Mr Davies.

Commenting on The Bolton News' Facebook page, Lisa Walters, said: "Oh my word, didn't realise this was Ryan. Tragic, so young. Thinking of his family at this sad time."

One friend, Geoff Mcknight, who had known him for a number of years, said: "He was a top lad. He had time for everyone.

"Most of all he loved his two boys with all his heart. Every time you saw him with his kids he had a smile from one side of his face to the other.

"I still can't believe it. Rest in peace Ryan, going to be missed by many, especially your boys."

A GoFundMe page has now been set up to try and raise money for a funeral for Mr Davies.

Donations can also be given to the Farnworth Co-op Funeralcare in Albert Road.

The family have asked that they now be given time to grieve privately.

Police are continuing to investigate and are still appealing for information.

Police Constable Edward Lister from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “My thoughts are with Ryan’s family, what they are going through is heart-breaking.

“We are continuing to investigate and we would still like to hear from anyone who may have any CCTV or dash-cam footage of the incident.”

Elaine Dickinson, aged 60, of Bolton Road, has told how she went to the help of Mr Davies and comforted him before he was taken to hospital.

She added that she wants the family to know that he was not alone.
