A MAN has been charged with rape after a cold case investigation.
In 2010, Greater Manchester Police's cold case unit launched a reinvestigation into a report of rape from January 1982.
Andrew Barlow, aged 61, of HMP Wymott, has been charged with rape of a woman under the age of 16.
He remains in police custody and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
