A POPULAR town centre bar has announced it will reopen at the end of the month.

Yates Bolton, in Bradshawgate, has been closed for £300,000 investment work but will open again on Sunday, August 27.

Yates says it has been transformed 'from top to toe' with new-look bar and seating areas and an improved dancefloor.

The venue will serve everything from cocktails to a selection of beers, ciders and spirits while the food on offer will include curries, burgers, chilli and fish and chips.

Sporting fans will be able to enjoy key fixtures being shown all year round.

Customers will be challenged to don their best poker faces on Mondays from 8pm for poker night, before putting their heads together for the weekly quiz night on Tuesdays from 8pm while bingo will take place on Fridays.

Customers can party through the years on Saturdays with ‘floor fillers’ from 9pm, before winding down the week with Sunday dinner and sport the following day.

Anna Gough, general manager of Yates Bolton, said: “We can’t wait to reopen and show our loyal customers our brand-new look.

“The refurb has helped cement us as the go-to place for a great night out.

“We can’t wait to see what people think.”
