A NEW fund has been set up to pay for a memorial or memorials the 22 victims of the Manchester Arena attack.

The charitable fund, which is separate from the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, will pay for a permanent tribute to those died.

A spokesman from Manchester City Council said the charitable fund would work closely with families.

He said: “The idea has just been launched and the charity set up to pay for memorial or memorials.”

The spokesman added that the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund would continue to provide financial assistance to those affected by the devastating terror attack.

Manchester City Council said that an advisory group is being set up to advise council bosses and to consult families who lost someone on the attack.

The group will meet in September for the first time.
