THERE were thrills galore as King Kong came to town.
The giant ride made its first appearance in Bolton this week when North West Funfairs set up in Spa Road.
It has been seven years since the funfair has introduced a new ride as big as this one.
King Kong spent a week in transit from the Czech Republic and it took a further two days to install it in Bolton.
Henry Hill, whose family own the business, said: “We need to give the youth of today what they want and that is new and bigger rides.
"It’s been really popular at Spa Road. There are only half a dozen of these rides in the country so we are expecting people to come from all over to try it.”
The funfair will be in Bolton until Sunday before moving to Liverpool.
