A BAND which has sold more than 20 million records and toured the world is going to take to the stage in Bolton.

Showaddywaddy, billed as the ‘greatest rock and roll band in the world’ will be playing the Albert Halls on January 6.

The group, which formed in Leicester in the 1970s and recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, is one of just three shows playing at the newly refurbished town centre venue next year.

Showaddywaddy kick things off with a live show featuring all of their biggest hits, including ‘Under The Moon of Love’, ‘Three Steps to Heaven’, ‘Hey Rock & Roll’, ‘When’, ‘Blue Moon’, ‘Pretty Little Angel Eyes’ and more.

Aficionados of the ‘Big O’ can enjoy Barry Steele in the Roy Orbison Story, which is set to appear at the halls on January 25.

Barry Steele is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading vocalists playing homage to Roy Orbison.

He has entertained audiences across the globe with his similarity and ability to revive the toe-tapping sound of this musical legend.

Many performers over the years have either worked with, or paid tribute, to the legendary Roy Orbison.

The production observes not only the musical legacy of The Big O and The Traveling Wilburys, but also features hits originally made famous by George Harrison, Chris Isaak, The Spencer Davis Group, Jeff Lynne, Del Shannon and of course the Big O - all backed by a big screen and talented musicians culminating in a fusion of 60s and 80s classics all on one stage.

Finally, fans of the King will love the World Famous Elvis Show, starring Chris Connor, which is set to hit the stage on April 7.

Chris Connor will perform Elvis Presley’s greatest hits with his 12 piece band and a full orchestra. He will also be joined by special guest comedian Lee Lard, a Peter Kay tribute act.
