An unusual array of treats will be on display in Bolton as part of the Food and Drink celebrations.
The Market Place is adding to the Bank Holiday festival menu with a solid chocolate bust of Queen Victoria, a 25 foot-long loaf and hog roast with a twist.
The delicacies are just a handful of the goodies on offer at the shopping centre as part of the town-wide event from Friday.
The bust will be created by expert chocolatiers before visitors eyes over the four days in the main mall, while Greenhalgh’s will deliver the sourdough loaf.
And do not be deceived by the hog roast – which is actually a cake.
Centre manager Nikki Wilson-Cook said: “We have so many activities for our visitors to enjoy throughout the bank holiday – no one will go hungry, that’s for sure!
“I hope that shoppers enjoy getting a taste for our Victorian heritage”
Characters in Victorian costume will also be entertaining shoppers and handing out treats and there will be a visit from local chef Nick Cullen.
