From Bavarian nuts to ‘hipster’ burgers, the flavours of the world are landing on Bolton’s doorstep this weekend.

With a choice of more than 200 food, drink and craft stalls to visits, we have whittled down a few favourites to try out this weekend.

1. There are three big newcomers this year. The first hails from the south and comes bearing nuts – candy flavoured ones.

The Bavarian Nut Man, from Devon, will be selling caramelised nuts in Oxford Street.

2. Anyone with a hankering for something sweet is advised to check out Chimney Cake 4 Me.

The Southport sweet-toothed sellers will be in Oxford Street with Hungarian chimney cakes – these cone-shaped pastries get their name because of their resemblance to chimneys.

3. Oxford Street seems to be the home of all sweet things, with another newcomer Malavisco Marshmallows.

As the name suggests, they will be dishing out the favourite of all fluffy treats but with a home-made twist of many flavours.

4. If you fancy whisking your taste-buds off to the USA then head to the Children’s Marquee where Kettlecorn NYC will be serving up freshly popped corn in unusual flavour combos.

5. And sticking with the American theme – Manchester ‘hipster’ favourites, Almost Famous are returning for a second year.

The eatery is known for its famous burgers so save yourself a trip to the city centre and head to its Wondertruck in Le Mans Crescent instead!

Of course, there are more than just five things to try with the festival market spreading out from Victoria Square to Newport Street, Oxford Street, Deansgate, Market Street, Corporation Street, Hotel Street and Le Mans Crescent.
