This year's Bolton Food and Drink Festival, organised by Bolton Council in association with Aldi, was the biggest and best yet with a record-breaking 267,000 visitors.

Bolton Council Chief Executive, Margaret Asquith, said: “Ainsley fitted right into Bolton and was the ideal guest for the festival. Our theme this year was ‘let us entertain you’ and he certainly met the brief! He was energetic, enthusiastic, and entertaining - and the video captured his personality perfectly.

“He had his audience in stitches throughout and people travelled from all over the country to catch a glimpse of him.

“Social media coverage of the event has grown each year and we knew that his memorable coconut and mango song would make popular viewing.

“We’re thrilled that the video has so far notched up more than half a million views and we’re sure it will continue to rise!”
