A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car ended up on its side at a roundabout.
The police were called at about 2.20am this morning to reports a car had overturned in the road following a collision and officers arrested one man on suspicion of drink driving.
Firefighters from Horwich were called to the scene, where a black Alfa Romeo was on its side in Chorley New Road, at the Beehive Roundabout.
They made sure the area was safe and isolated the car's battery.
Firefighter Oliver Doyle, said: "The car hit a lamp post, took it out and ended up on its side."
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service confirmed it was called at 2.18am to an incident and sent an ambulance to the scene.
No one is believed to have been injured in the incident and no one was taken to hospital.
