A BOLTON fitness instructor whose IVF treatment was paid for anonymously by George Michael has given birth.

Grateful Lynette Gillard has now named her two week old son after the late singer.

Lynette, aged 38, from Westhoughton, told the Sun on Sunday that she found out she was pregnant with her longed-for son, Seth Logan George Hart, on the day the music legend died in December.

In 2008 the singer had seen Lynette’s then partner on television’s Deal of No Deal trying to win cash to pay for IVF treatment.

He was so touched by the story that he contacted the show and donated £9,000 anonymously.

Lynette revealed that, although nine rounds of IVF failed, the singer’s money helped pay for tests which found she had cells which were killing her embryos and she received treatment.

The identity of her mystery benefactor only became known after his death but Lynette was determined to thank him in her own way after the 13-year fight to have a child ended.

His songs were playing throughout her labour and she and her partner, Nathan Hart, aged 39, opted to add George as a middle name for Seth.

Lynette announced Seth’s arrival on Facebook stating: “I’m so happy we finally got what I’ve been fighting for, for a long long time.

“I now have everything.”
