REMAINS found in undergrowth at Leverhulme Park are those of a human, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Leverhulme Park at 11.15 am yesterday after a body was found by volunteers from conservation group Bolton North East Wildlife Trail.

A cordon remains in place around the area the body was found and forensic officers were this morning continuing to work at the scene.
