OFFICERS in the Urmston neighbourhood have been patrolling around Dutton's Pond and surrounding streets after a number of incidents involving a male exposing himself to female dog walkers and a teenage girl.

Both uniform and plain clothed officers have been on patrol over the weekend and have continued over the week, looking to apprehend the male in question.

He is described as white, in his early to later 20's, with short dark hair and between 5'7" - 5'11" tall.

The man has carried out a number of incidents around the Flixton area.

Police are aware of the following:

  • 8:15pm on September 21 in Woodsend Road South, Flixton 
  • 1:45pm September 20 on Vale Road, Flixton 
  • 6:30pm September 17 on Moorside Road, Flixton
  • 6:45pm September 8 on Stott Drive, Flixton

Police ask residents to be vigilant when out in the area and report anything suspicious to police on 101.

Police advise: "If you encounter this type of behaviour, move away as quickly as possible to a safe place where there are other people.

"If necessary, make as much noise as you can to draw the attention of other members of the public.

"If you are able, please dial 999 so we can get officers to the area as soon as possible."
