RESIDENTS are being warned after a number of milk deliveries were snatched from outside people's homes.

Jimmy Smallwood, who lives in Hospital Road in Bromley Cross, awoke on Monday morning to see that his milk had not been delivered.

He text his milkman who immediately rang him back.

He had made the delivery, of a pint of milk and six eggs, and had already had calls from five customers asking where their delivery was.

It hasn't happened since but Mr Smallwood wanted people in the local community to be aware and to keep an eye out.

He said: "I have been having it delivered for a while and it has never happened before.

"I have always enjoyed doing a few old fashion things and it is convenient. It is always good to patronise a local business.

"It is just a shame that this has happened really."

Mr Smallwood did not report it to the police but wanted people to be aware and to keep an eye out if they get their milk delivered in the area.
