BOLTON artist Ben Ark is exhibiting his work as part of The Royal Society of Marine Artists Annual Exhibition in London.

The 2017 exhibition, recognised as the most “prestigious and varied” of marine art in the UK, focuses on the sea and runs until Saturday.

Pieces by the 35-year-old were selected from over 1,300 submissions to exhibit at Mall Galleries as part of the annual exhibition.

The premier marine art exhibition in the country, it features almost 400 works from emerging and well-established artists .

Ben said: "The Royal Society is over 75 years old and full of artists of stature who are the best at what they do. I'm extremely pleased to have been selected to have my work hung alongside them."

His work can also be seen at the Warrington Open Contemporary Arts Festival at the Warrington Museum and Art Gallery until October 28.
