MUSIC has proved a winning formula to help a Bolton venue.

Organisers of the Edgworth Folk Festival have celebrated another successful year by raising up to £3,000 through the event.

The money will go towards the upkeep of the The Barlow, which hosted three days of music last week.

Committee member Chris Nash said: “It matches last year’s highly successful festival. Special thanks to all the volunteers in The Barlow’s events and catering teams and Bromley Cross Folk Club. All the excellent performers gave their time and talents free of charge.”

Tonight Scottish folk vocalist, Siobhan Miller will perform alongside artists Ed McGurk and Dave Howard. The evening starts at 8pm.
