A MAN has been sentenced to 22 weeks in prison after being caught behind the wheel while disqualified.
Michal Berky, aged 28 and of Croston Street in Bolton, was sentenced at Manchester Magistrates Court earlier this week.
On Friday, October 13, traffic police stopped a Vauxhall Zafira on the A666 St Peter's Way.
When police checked Berky's details they found that he was banned from driving and was arrested.
Alongside the prison sentence, Berky was given eight points on his licence and banned from driving for a further two years.
A spokesman for GMP's Specialist Operations Roads Policing Unit said police will continue to target banned drivers.
