STORM Brian has arrived in Bolton town centre, bringing with it a deluge of rain and strong winds.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind, urging people to be aware, as gusts of up to 55mph are expected to batter the region.
Driving rain and winds are blowing across the town and the weather warning lasts until midnight tonight, although the bad weather is forecasted to last into Sunday morning.
Some transport disruption is likely across the North West, with delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport.
The Met Office has also warned of the possibility of power loss.
