AS MANY as 50 new jobs could be created at a new supermarket.
The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Roger Hayes, officially opened the new KW food store at the Cambrian Business Park, off Derby Street.
The store specialises in serving fresh fruit and vegetables, Halal meat and poultry , a range of Asian and continental groceries, catering products and kitchenware.
Mohammed Saleem, the company's managing director, said: "We are starting with 16 staff, but the target is to employ approximately 50 staff in the next two years and promote trading with local suppliers and offer best service to the Bolton community."
