A BIKER has been left with life-changing injuries after a crash in Farnworth.

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and CCTV and dashcam footage as they try and establish what happened.

As reported, officers were called to George Street, Farnworth, at around 8.10pm on Monday.

The collision involved a silver Lexus IS 200 and an Aprilia motorbike.

A 22-year-old man, from Farnworth, who was riding the motorbike was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries which are described as potentially life changing.

The driver of the Lexus remained at the scene to speak with officers and no arrests have been made.

Police Sergeant Lee Westhead of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a serious collision that has left a man in hospital with life changing injuries and our thoughts remain with him at this difficult time.

“We are appealing for anyone that witnessed the collision or may have any CCTV or dash-cam footage to please get in touch.”
