BOLTON'S Michaela Wain said she "cried for days" after fellow Apprentice candidate Sajan Shah was fired.

Feisty businesswoman Michaela was on the winning team in Wednesday night's episode.

She was also Sajan's favourite to win overall, as he compared her to Baroness Karren Brady.

The two teams were tasked with branding a vehicle and creating an advertising campaign before pitching to a panel of experts.

Heaton-based construction company director Michaela stepped up as Vitality's successful project manager for the week seven task.

The director of Design and Build UK and Vantage Utility Connections said she put herself forward because her companies sell advertising.

Mum-of-one Michaela came up with the car brand name Miami for the task, pursuing the idea of escaping to favourite destinations.

She said: "I'm thrilled to be through. I messed up in task three so felt I had to prove myself.

"I wanted to go home because I was missing my son but had to disconnect myself and press on.

"I had to be a bit ruthless to make sure we did well.

"I think the team did really well anyway but I tried to lead from the front. I knew what I wanted."

However Bury teammate Charles Burns said her project management approach was as "a little bit aggressive" and described her as a "control freak."

Bolton's Michaela Wain - who is the feisty businesswoman starring in The Apprentice?

Both teams headed to Sea Containers House to pitch their advertising campaign.

Leading the pitch, Michaela spoke about the team's target audience and described their design as "young, cool and vibrant", receiving praise from the panel.

A total of four candidates from losing team Graphene were hauled back into the boardroom and Lord Sugar fired 24-year-old Sajan.

Sajan said: "If I was to go into business out of Lord Sugar, Claude or Karren, I'd definitely do it with Claude.

"I think he is a much more contemporary business mind."

On his final task, Sajan said he felt stuck in his role as director of the TV commercial after teammate Elizabeth McKenna chose the concept.

His outgoing words to Michaela were: "She's definitely very driven like Karren... She works in an industry just like Karren where men are dominating.

"She comes across well, she's a really strong female, she showed it in this task and winning it as well.

"I think the momentum is on her side so I think she'll go quite far."

Michaela added: "Sajan was my winner. He always had been from the start. I cried for days when he left. I was gutted."

The BBC One show returns next Wednesday at 9pm.
