The family of a Bury man who died in a collision have paid tribute to him.
Richard Mattinson died after he was seriously injured in a crash in Bolton Road West on Wednesday morning.
In a tribute to the 56-year-old, his family said: “He was a much loved father, son, granddad and uncle who had a great sense of humour, and loved his family and friends.
“Richard was a man with a big heart who will be sadly missed by many.”
Shortly before 6.15am on Wednesday, police were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a wall on Bolton Road West.
A Vauxhall Astra Club had been travelling southwest on Bolton Road West towards Holcombe Brook in Bury.
As the car reached the junction with Longsight Road, it hit a stone wall.
Mr Mattinson sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.
