Bolton’s Winter Festival
INFO: Bolton’s annual Winter Festival returns to the town centre offering something for all the family - including the popular covered ice rink, super fun snow slide, magical Santa’s Grotto and festive artisan markets.
TIME: December 2, 2017, to January 7, 2018

Coca-Cola Christmas comes to Bolton
INFO: The iconic Coca-Cola Christmas truck will be making a stop in Bolton on its annual tour.
TIME: November 30 between 11am and 7pm.
WHERE: Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park.

A lantern parade and Christmas fair
WHERE: Great Church in Montserrat Road, Johnson Fold.
TIME: The parade will depart from the church at 6.30pm on Saturday, December 2, and arrive back for the lights to be switched on at 8pm.
FOOD & DRINK: Guests will be able to enjoy free pasties and peas with complimentary mulled wine.
WHY: The event is held by the Johnson Fold Residents’ Association who regularly put on events for the local area to give back a sense of community.
Smithills and Eagley Band host a Christmas Concert
WHERE: The event will take place at Victoria Hall, Bolton town centre.
TIME: 7.30pm on Saturday, December 16.
WHY: The charity concert is hosted to raise awareness and money for Bolton Hospice. The concert will feature music from Frozen and The Polar Express, plus traditional carols.
TICKETS: Tickets are priced at £6 and are available from Bolton Hospice or online at www.egertontickets.com.
Christmas movies at a drive-in cinema
INFO: Moonlight Cinema’s drive-in comes to Bolton, where customers can watch classic Christmas movies from the comfort of their own car.
WHERE: Macron Stadium car park, Burnden Way, Bolton, BL6 6JW.

Octagon Theatre presents A Christmas Carol
INFO: Charles Dickens’ cherished festive tale is brought to life in this enchanting stage adaptation full of joy, song, and magic!

St William of York RC Church Great Lever Christmas Fair
WHERE: The event will take place at the school hall in Nugent Road on Saturday November 25 between 1pm and 3pm.
TICKETS: Entrance costs 50p for adults and children are free.
INFO: The Christmas fair will include a tombola, raffles, pop the balloon, face painting, name the bear, etc, as well as a visit from Father Christmas.
Lighting of civic Christmas tree and carol service
WHERE: The roundabout opposite the Crown Hotel, in Horwich.
INFO: This event traditionally marks the start of the festive season in Horwich & will, as usual, be followed by a short carol service led by Father Richard Howard.
TIME: 6pm on Friday December 1.
FAMILIAR FACES: They will be joined by special pantomime guests Aladdin & the Princess played by Joe Maw (from CBBCs Tracey Beaker Returns & The Dumping Ground) and Holly-Robyn Harrison (from Sky 1’s Starlings).
Christmas fair
WHERE: St Thomas and St John’s Church in Lostock.
TIME: 11am until 1pm on Saturday December 2.
INFO: A day of family fun and entertainment, with stalls including: Lucky dip, books, face-painting, toys, raffles, homemade produce and the Lostock café.
