DRIVERS along the M60 have been experiencing closures to the motorway every night throughout November.

Highways England have now confirmed further closures into December.

The smart motorway scheme has been taking place between junction eight of the M60 to junction 20 of the M62 since July 2014 causing major disruptions for drivers. 

The aim of the scheme is to cut congestion and improve journey times.
Work is expected to be finished by Summer 2018, but in the meantime,

Wednesday 29 to Thursday 30 November: M60 Jct 12 to Jct 15 Clockwise

Thursday November 30: M60 Jct 12 to Jct 15 Clockwise

Friday 1 December : M60 Jct 12 to Jct 15 Clockwise

Monday December 4: M60 Jct 12 to Jct 8 Anti-Clockwise (midnight to 6am), M62 Jct 18 to Jct 20 Eastbound (10pm to 6am)

Tuesday December 5: M60 Jct 8 to Jct 12 Clockwise (1am to 6am), M62 Jct 20 to Jct 18 Westbound 10pm to 6am)

Wednesday December 6: M60 Jct 8 to Jct 12 Clockwise (midnight to 6am), M62/M60 Jct 18 to Jct 17 Westbound/Anti-Clockwise (10pm to 6am)

Thursday December 7 2017: M62 Jct 18 to Jct 20 Eastbound (10pm to 6am)

Friday December 8 2017: M60 Jct 12 to Jct 15 Clockwise (midnight to 6am), M62 Jct 20 to Jct 18 Westbound (10pm to 6am)             

Saturday December 9: M60 Jct 12 to Jct 15 Clockwise (midnight to 6am) 

Sunday December 10: M60 Jct 16 to Jct 14 Anti-Clockwise (10pm  to 6am)
