A 12-YEAR-OLD boy in the care of social services bit a woman care worker at a caravan they were staying at in Fleetwood.
The boy who had previously been living with his family in Bolton, lost his temper after being told he would have to use his pocket money to pay for damage he had caused at a caravan.
The defendant, who can not be identified for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to assault and damaging a caravan's internal door and radiator.
He was bailed for sentence by District Judge Jim Clarke sitting at Blackpool Magistrates' Court and must live where directed by social services as a condition of his bail.
The judge was told that on December 2 the boy damaged a caravan and bit a care worker on the arm.
Martin Hillson, defending, said the boy and his family originally came from Ethiopia but had been in this country for five to six years and lived in Bolton.
The boy, who had no previous convictions, had been complaining to his carers that he had a lack of contact with his family and friends.
There was a row when it was said he would have to pay for previous damage he had caused out of his pocket money allowance. A carer tried to restrain him and he bit her on the arm.
