BOLTON boxer Amir Khan finally left the jungle last night.

Amir Khan became the seventh celebrity to leave ITV's hit reality show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Amir seemed glad to have been ousted from the jungle, he said 'yes' as hosts Any and Dec announced his departure.

In an interview with the hosts after leaving his campmates Amir said: "I've had such a great time. I never expected to be discussed.

"I'd never seen the show and it was a massive surprise for me when I got in there."

After being shown his highlight reel Amir admitted the show was nothing like he expected and 'a lot harder' than he thought.

He said: "When I came face to face with animals I thought 'This wasn't in the contract'."

He admitted feeling challenged by the restrictive rice and beans diet and sleeping outside.

Ant and Dec questioned Amir about 'strawberry-gate where Amir and comedian Iain Lee ate strawberries and cream without sharing them with the camp.

Amir was asked about letting Iain take most of the blame and Amir admitted he was 'scared' but said he felt guilty afterwards.

Ant and Dec also pulled Amir up on his general knowledge which came under close scrutiny while he was on ITV after he asked if a woman could become Prime Minister.

Amir admitted he had 'learnt a lot' while in the jungle.

He hoped Bury-born actor and former Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas would go on to win.

The vote out was an unexpected birthday present for the boxer who turned 31 yesterday.

After Amir was voted out by the public his team tweeted: "Honestly, we’re overwhelmed with the messages we’ve received. THANK YOU to everyone who has tweeted, voted and sent such awesome messages of support. Means a huge amount. "

The final four remaining in the jungle are Jennie McAlpine, Jamie Lomas, Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo and Iain Lee.
