YOU'RE fired! Michaela Wain fell at the last hurdle in a triple-firing on The Apprentice.

The mum-of-one was fired by Lord Sugar for her 'multiple business ventures' — something she felt strengthened her chance to win.

The Heaton-based construction manager was sent home along with Joanna Jarjue and Elizabeth McKennna after they were grilled by business heavyweights.

Michaela, aged 33, said: "I thought my business ventures gave me a good shot but obviously it wasn't meant to be.

"It wasn't amazing being fired but I was so proud to have got that far so I didn't feel upset, I was just pleased with what I had achieved."

She added: "I felt the reasons for being fired were unfair because I'm certain Lord Sugar has more companies than me and still invests in new ones. I'm just replicating that on a smaller scale.

"But I'm still really happy with the result.

"I had an amazing experience and I wouldn't change a thing."

On tonight's episode, the five remaining candidates were quizzed on their business plans, CVs and suitability for Lord Sugar's £250,000 investment.

Michaela was grilled by interviewer Mike Soutar who raised 'multiple business queries'.

Joanna was fired because she lacked knowledge of the market and Elizabeth went because she had not proven herself worthy of 'big business'.

Mum-of-one Michaela remained in the boardroom among the final three 'very good candidates' for 2017.

But it was her involvement in six business ventures that Lord Sugar said disqualified her from the investment.

Lord Sugar said in his outgoing remarks: "The sensitivity that I have with you, Michaela, is that our business could start going a little bit downhill and you might lose interest because you've got interest in other businesses — it's human nature.

"Michaela, this business has got to be 100 per cent with me and I don’t want you being de-focused somewhere else.

"So whether I am right or wrong, Michaela — you're fired."

The final episode will be on Sunday, December 17 at 9pm.
