FOUR people have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Prestwich.

Earlier today, police arrested two men, aged 28 and 23, on suspicion of attempted murder and two women, aged 30 and 20, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

This is in relation to an incident that took place in Glebelands Road on Monday, November 27, when police were called at around 8.40pm to reports that a 49-year-old man had been shot.

The victim remains in hospital receiving treatment for life-changing injuries.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Kelly said: “We currently have four people in custody who are being questioned as we speak.

“We are over two weeks on from this truly shocking incident; however we continue to have a team of detectives working tirelessly on this investigation to bring those people responsible to justice.

“I would continue to appeal for anybody with information to please come forward and contact police.”

Three men have also been charged with attempted murder in connection with this investigation.

They are Dominic Burke, aged 20, of Whinfell Drive in Middleton, Waseem Ahmed, aged 29 of Crumpsall Avenue in Manchester, and Steven O'Donnell, aged 24, of Carr Avenue in Prestwich.
