A PRIMARY school has been given permission to build an extension.
Councillors have approved the Al-Huda Academy’s plans to create a new entrance, as well as additional classroom space and staff facilities.
At a town hall planning committee meeting yesterday, Cllr Linda Thomas said that there was no reason to refuse the ‘modest’ plans. She added that it was important to help the Halliwell school because of a shortage of school places across the borough.
