IT is time to bid farewell to 2017 and welcome in 2018.

With thousands of party-goers expected to hit venues across Bolton this New Years Eve, here is a round-up of some of places you can celebrate.

Join Great Ale at the Vaults, Bolton Market Place, tickets are £12 and reserved seating is available, entry also includes a glass of Prosecco, wine or craft ale on arrival and a glass of Prosecco and a pasty at midnight.

Level nightclub is hosting a Confetti party across four floors of music, from Dance to Christmas classics and karaoke. Tickets are £8 and packages are also available for the VIP lounge.

Opulence is to be expected at the NYE Millionaire Mansion 2017 party at The Bar - Bolton in Nelson Square, tickets are £10 in advance.

Across the Square, Blind Tiger is welcomes Tommy Holland as Elvis performing timeless tunes from the Kings back catalogue, followed by a decade spanning rock club night. Tickets are £4, or £6 on the door before 1am and £7 after.

In Bradshawgate, Rawkus are hosting this year’s NYE bash at the Alma Inn, where you can rock out to all your pop punk, rock and metal staples; while the Last Great Dreamers will perform at Bar Metro.

Outside the town centre, Henighans Bar, Breightmet, present an 80s School Disco, while Henighans in Little Lever are having a Golden Ticket House Party at the Pub with entertainment from SallyAnn’s Soul & Motown Masterclass and Diva Disco.

There is also live music and DJs at Tails and Ale, Horwich.

The Holiday Inn, Bolton, is holding a family party, including food and children’s entertainment, followed by a disco; and glitzy gala ball, with a five course meal, live entertainment, disco and casino.

As are The Last Drop Village Hotel, in Bromley Cross, with a three course family celebration, including a complimentary glass of champagne at midnight and a resident DJ; and an Adult Gala Dinner with a live show and a five course meal.

For those who fancy laughing their way into the new year, the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club is taking residence in the Albert Halls, starring comedy from Mark Nelson, Roger Monkhouse, Simon Lomas and Rob Mulholland - doors open 7.30pm and tickets are £27.50 in advance and £32.50 on the door.
