PLANS for 300 homes at the golf course in Horwich are set to be discussed by the town council.
Peel Investments North’s proposal for the development off Victoria Road is on the agenda for Thursday’s meeting.
Members will debate the plans and will vote on whether to recommend them for approval or refusal when they go before Bolton Council’s planning committee.
The proposals have sparked fury from local residents and councillors since the multi-billion pound developer first unveiled its vision for the site last year.
And three Horwich residents groups, Grundy Hill, Stocks Park and New Chapel, recently joined forces to fight the proposals.
The council will also discuss other planning applications, including one from Bolton Council to alter permission for the leisure centre.
The town council will meet at the Public Hall at 7.15pm on Thursday and then a meeting of the planning committee will follow shortly after.
