A DRIVER was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after crashing their car into a lamppost.
Police were called out to the incident in Blackburn Road, Egerton shortly before 8.10pm on Monday night.
Pictures posted on Twitter by the Greater Manchester Police traffic account following the incident showed a dark-coloured Vauxhall in a bush next to the road.
It happened outside Ciao Baby Italian restaurant in Egerton.
The driver was breathalysed at the scene and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
They were later released from custody pending further investigations.
The northbound lane of Blackburn Road was blocked followed the crash, but was cleared a short time later.
