More than 100 volunteers have helped plant thousands of recycled Christmas trees.
It is hoped that the trees, collected by Lancashire Wildlife Trust, will help to add to the soft sea defences on the Fylde Coast.
During the course of the three days, donated trees were partially buried along the beach in neat rows. Placed just ahead of the existing dunes the exposed branches will help to trap windblown sand and build up the dunes.
Kate Owen, from the trust, said: βItβs great to see how many people want to get involved with conserving the sand dunes.β
