VIDEO footage shows a driver as he speeds away from police going through red lights and across junctions while under the influence of drugs before he eventually crashes into a wall.

Bobby Shaw was sentenced at Bolton Crown Court earlier this month for dangerous driving, drug driving, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and failing to stop.

He was pursued by police down Spinning Jenny Way, near Leigh town centre, on September 24 last year.

Shaw, aged 27, of Carlyle Grove in Leigh, is seen going through several red lights before going across a junction and crashing into a wall.

When Shaw was tested he was found to have a quantity of Benzoylecgonine in his system, a substance found in cocaine.

He admitted the offences and was sentence to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years.

He must carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified for three years.
