YOUNG'S fishcakes have been recalled from Bolton stores over fears they man contain hard plastic and metal making them unsafe to eat.
The recall affects frozen six packs of Chip shop fishcakes with best before dates and serial numbers reading: January 2019: AAL 7209K & AAL 7209L, and February 2019: AAK 7222J & AAL 7222K, sold at Heron Foods and Farmfoods stores.
Heron Foods in Newport Street confirmed that the store had been affected by the recall.
A Farmfoods spokesman said that the company had been made aware of the fish cakes recall Tuesday and have since removed all products from their stores.
The Food Standards Agency have advised anyone who bough the product not to eat it and instead return it to the store it was bought from for a full refund.
No other Young's products are known to be affected.
Young's apologised for any inconvenience caused and asked concerned customers to call 08004968647 or email care@youngsseafood.co.uk
