A WARD at Royal Bolton Hospital has been shortlisted for a prestigious Student Nursing Times Award.
The team on D4, the hospital’s female respiratory ward, are holding their breath in the hope they will win the ‘best student placement at a hospital’ category.
It is one of three wards at the hospital that is involved in the Greater Manchester Synergy project.
The project places student nurses into clinical areas across the region, developing their leadership skills, instilling a coaching ethos and increasing the numbers of student nurses across the area.
The winner will be announced at the end of April.
Sam Bulpitt, education development manager at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said: “We’re thrilled to have got to this stage in the competitive process. The team will now visit the awards headquarters and present their project with the other shortlisted teams.”
She congratulated the team, for their ‘fantastic work’.
The winner will be announced at the end of April.
