It kicked off with the ensemble Soul Patrol, who treated the audience to renditions of If I Ain’t Got You, Proud Mary and Until You Come Back To Me.

They were followed by Bolton Beginner Guitar Ensemble, who ratcheted the volume up a notch with versions of Neil Young’s Keep on Rocking In The Free World, and ACDC’s TNT.

That was followed by St Mary’s (Deane) Ukuleles, who enchanted the audience, before Great Northern Folk Ensemble performed songs including The Sham Doctor and Waiting for Rain.

Next on stage was C-Rock, with renditions of Apache and Katy Perry’s Firework.

Then, Bolton Intermediate Guitar Ensemble, Bolton Junior Percussion Ensemble and Bolton Junior Youth Choir were all given their chance to shine, each performing two songs.

Bolton Saxophone Choir took to the stage next to perform a James Bond Medley.

They also played California Dreamin’ and All in Good Time.

And Bolton Youth Guitar Ensemble rounded off a successful night with renditions of Mr Blue Sky and Biffy Clyro’s Mountains.
